Committee on Diversity & Inclusivity Interest Form

Over the past two years, our School community has been engaged in a dialogue about diversity and inclusion at St. Anne's-Belfield School. Our 2011 - 2016 Strategic Plan laid out this clear goal: that the School would more deliberately foster an ethos of inclusion, integrity, civility, compassion, and kindness. In pursuit of this, faculty, students, parents, and trustees have had numerous opportunities to explore these topics and have worked with experts from the Stanley H. King Institute, Jonathan Zur of the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, Gene Batiste of Creative Catalyst Consulting, Mauricio Velasquez of the Diversity Training Group, and Martin Davidson of UVa's Darden School to guide us in these conversations.

A next step in pursuit of this goal is to empanel a cross-constituency committee that will help to determine further next steps and work together to implement them. This new Committee on Diversity & Inclusion at St. Anne's-Belfield will be comprised of students, teachers, parents, trustees, and alumni who can devote the necessary time, energy, and enthusiasm to this ongoing effort. If you are interested in being considered as a member of this committee, please complete and submit the form below by Tuesday, September 20. If you have any trouble with this form, please email our Communications team at communication@stab.org.
