SummerFest 2018 will provide opportunities for families with children ages four to eight to come together to create, stretch, and play on select Saturday mornings from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. at the Learning Village (799 Faulconer Drive). These events are designed to give families the opportunity to unplug from today’s distractions and connect through interactive and fun activities. All events are free, but registration is required. Space is limited - sign up now!
June 23 - It’s Slime Time!
Parents and children are invited to come to a squishy, squashy, gooey, fluffy event that is all about slime. Recipes (Borax-free) and ingredients will be provided so that you and your child can explore the many types of slime out there. Refreshments will be provided. Following our time in the slime lab, children and parents will be invited to play on the playground.
July 14 - Namaste & Play!
Throw on some comfortable clothes and come to our Namaste & Play! Instructor Sheila from Bend Yoga will walk us through 45-minutes of parent and child yoga. After we are all centered and relaxed, refreshments will be served on our playground where children can play and parents can mingle. Yoga experience and mat are not required.
July 28 - Let’s Make a Mess!
Want to whip up a homemade pizza with your little one without having to worry about the grocery run or clean up? If so, join us for a cooking class full of dough making, pizza decorating, and even some tie dying fun. Each parent and child will be able to create their own pizza and enjoy it together. While Chef Holt and his team bake the pizzas, children’s shirts will be provided for tie dying and of course the playground will be open.
Please note, parents must be present with children throughout the event, all materials will be provided, and refreshments will be served at each.
