Two Fifth Grade Students Place in 2018 Writer's Eye Competition

Congratulations to Sam G. '26 and Kate C. '26 on placing third in their respective categories in the 2018 Writer's Eye competition!

Both Sam's untitled poem and Kate's Bookshelf Catastrophe prose ranked third in the Grades 3 - 5 division.

The competition is hosted by the University of Virginia's (U.Va.) Fralin Museum of Art, challenging writers to submit pieces inspired by the museum's art. Entries for all levels totaled 1,306. Click here for the full list of winners.

The winners will be honored at an awards ceremony on Sunday, March 17 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. in U.Va.'s Newcomb Hall Ballroom and in an anthology that will be available to the public for free.
