On Saturday, May 12, students and families from Ms. Inigo's fourth grade class brought food and prepared lunch for nearly 30 Habitat for Humanity volunteers and staff at the current build site near Pen Park. Students not only made sandwiches and snacks, but they also got to put on hard hats and tour one of the houses.
"We learned about what Habitat does to keep housing affordable in our community, how the families work on their own homes, and what the process is like to own a Habitat home," said Inigo. "The Habitat folks were amazing. We learned so much and felt so happy to be contributing."
