Altizer, Stinnie Recognized as Coaches of the Year

Congratulations to both Damin Altizer and Phil Stinnie on being named Coaches of the Year for the Boys' Varsity and Girls' Varsity Basketball teams, respectively.

Altizer's first season as the Boys' Varsity Basketball team head coach, he was chosen by his peers in the Virginia Prep League (VPL) as the top coach. The team came in second in the league before moving on to compete in the VISAA state tournament.

Stinnie, who also celebrated his 300th win this season, was selected by his peers in the League of Independent Schools (LIS). The Girls' Varsity Basketball team also won their sixth straight LIS title, and was ranked as the second team in the state.

"The Coach of the Year honors for both Coach Stinnie and Coach Altizer are definitely well-deserved. Like all of our coaches, they continuously dedicate a huge amount of their time and energy to creating a culture of excellence with our student-athletes both on and off the court," said Director of Athletics Dewayne Robinson. "Being recognized by their conference peers is a testament to their success in pushing the core values of St. Anne's-Belfield forward through the sport of basketball."

Congrats, coaches!
