According to its website, the ESU National Shakespeare Competition is a performance-based educational program serving Grades 9 - 12, providing students opportunities to practice essential skills such as critical thinking, close reading, and public speaking. In response to COVID-19, the competition moved online for the 2020 cycle.
Wilson qualified to compete in the national portion of the competition by winning the regional round in February. Finalists from across the country are competing for cash prizes, as well as a scholarship for a summer acting course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England.
Good luck, Adam!
