Summer SPARK! Returns on Virtual Platform

Summer SPARK! programming will be pivoting to a free online learning experience for summer 2020, serving Grades 6 - 12 students (age 11 and up) and educators across the globe.

With two separate tracks, one for students and one for teachers, Summer SPARK!'s goal is to increase technology and computer science literacy for learners of all backgrounds and interests.

The student learning experience will take place over three weeks (July 6 - 31), each with a different theme: Web Design, Art of Code, and Game Design. Students may register for one, two, or all three weeks and can expect to explore the relevant theme through interactive challenges, video tutorials, lunch and learns, and learning from experts in the field. Each week will wrap up with a Demo Party to share all the awesome creations. The educator learning experience will be structured similarly but take place over six weeks (June 30 - Aug. 4) with four different themes.

There will be synchronous (live video conferencing) and asynchronous (work at your own pace) activities for all programs. Interested students and educators can learn more about each program and register at summerspark.stab.org. A variety of volunteer opportunities are also available. Questions can be directed to spark@stab.org.
