Maroon & White Party a Smashing Success

More than 300 parents, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni attended the 2nd Annual Maroon & White party on May 4 to celebrate the School community. Ticket sales, sponsorships, raffles, auction items, and donations all contributed to raise $120,000 for faculty professional development before and during the event.

In addition to donated items such as photoshoots, bowling parties, and becoming Head of the Learning Village for a day, this year's party featured "STAB Wars" in which guests competed by making donations according to their Field Day colors. More than $18,000 was raised during the program with Team Maroon edging out Team White by just $325 for the win.

The party was sponsored by the St. Anne's-Belfield School Parents' Association, Blue Ridge A/V and Lighting, Loring Woodriff Real Estate Associates, Virginia Eagle Distributing, Spider Management, Virginia Tent Rental, Airflow HVAC, Gerry Frank Construction, and Frank Hardy Sotheby's International Realty, as well as many individual sponsors at every level. The event also included catering by Harvest Moon, DJ Tommy, and a Photobooth of Charlottesville photo booth.
