Upper School orchestra director Debbie Lyle has been invited to present at the Ohio Music Educators Association's Annual Conference. The event will be held in Cincinnati from Jan. 29 – Feb. 1. Lyle will be presenting two workshops, The Basics of Bornoff and More than a Warm-Up! Skill Development for Intermediate String Orchestras.
Lyle was also asked to present for the Maryland and Washington, D.C. chapter of the American String Teachers Association. She will present a four-hour workshop on Sunday, Feb. 9 in Takoma Park, Md.
In addition to offering workshops nationwide, Debbie Lyle has been instructing orchestra students at the School since 2001. She is the founder and director of the Arcata Summer Strings, executive director of the Foundation for the Advancement of String Education, and author of The Bornoff Approach: A Primer.
