On Friday, April 24, Learning Village faculty and staff offered the first round of virtual community lunches. These 15-minute meetings are a stand-in for the Learning Village’s tradition of Lunch Bunch in Grades K - 4 and Community Lunch in Grades 5 - 8.
In Grades K – 4, students at 10 tables kicked off the inaugural meetings with Ms. Cafarella, Ms. Evans, Mrs. Gearhart, Ms. Grant, Ms. Johnston, Ms. Keeler, Mr. Lourie, Ms. Mathieson, Mr. Raffinan, and Señora Roth while in Grades 5 – 8 students joined a table with Coach Price.
“It was wonderful to see so many happy faces during Community Lunch,” said Stacey Gearhart, Assistant Head of School for Student Life Grades PS – 4 and the organizer of the lunches. “We had an absolute blast. My group talked about our favorite foods as well as things that had made us laugh during the week which of course turned into sharing jokes. We all laughed a lot!”
