Applications Open for the Second Cohort of the Early Childhood Fellowship Program

Now in its second year, the St. Anne's-Belfield Early Childhood Fellowship Program provides recent college graduates a unique and immersive opportunity for experience and study. Fellows receive financial support and mentorship to earn their Master of Education from the University of Virginia while serving as assistant teachers at St. Anne’s-Belfield’s Lower School. This model allows for fellows to immediately apply their graduate school learnings in the classroom. Fellows emerge from the two-year program prepared to teach and lead their own classroom of young children.

Being a classroom teacher while working on my Master of Education has been incredibly beneficial. The ability to draw from my work experience and apply it to my coursework has been a huge advantage. Conversely, being able to use what I learned in my master’s program and having the opportunity to apply it the next day in a real setting with students has transformed my approach to teaching in an incredible way.
— Isaiah Fullen, Early Childhood Fellow

St. Anne’s-Belfield is thrilled to partner with UVA School of Education and Human Development to offer this teaching and learning opportunity.
