Emmett Barger '19 has been announced as an Under Armour All-American for 2019. He joins teammate Connor Shellenberger '19 who was previously named to the All-American team and both will represent St. Anne's-Belfield School on June 29 at Homewood Field in Baltimore, Md. The Under Armour All-American game is in its 14th year and features the top 44 high school senior lacrosse players in the country.
"I am so happy for both Emmett and Connor for this well-deserved recognition," said Boys' Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach Bo Perriello. "Both have been incredible student-athletes for the School and will continue to represent our program for years to come. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with such great players and excited for both Charlottesville and for the School program to have two of the top forty-four players in the nation playing here and positively impacting the next generation of local lacrosse players."
It was also announced this week that Barger has been selected to try out for the Under 19 U.S. Men's Lacrosse Team this summer. Only 105 of the nation's top boys' lacrosse players are invited to try out for this 2020 team. Those invited come from 20 different states and include current college and high school players.
