Destination Imagination

Destination Imagination (DI) teams across the country encourage, inspire, and equip students to become the next generation of innovators.

At the start of each season, teams choose one of seven Challenges to work on cooperatively. The program is project-based, and so requires students to brainstorm, design, and create their solutions. Each year the Challenges are aligned to National Education Standards, STEM standards, and various Common Core standards. Challenges are offered in areas including technical, scientific, fine arts, improvisational, structural, and service learning.

Regional, state, and national tournaments take place around the world allowing teams to present and explain their solution to the chosen Challenge. In addition, they are an ideal venue for students to celebrate creativity and socialize with peers.

Each year, the School offers multiple teams for different age levels who selected to participate as an elective course. Parent volunteers coordinated both teams with the help of a faculty member in each division.

Team success has brought numerous teams to the Global Finals.
