Why St. Anne's-Belfield?
I'm excited to be a part of a community that values both building connection and growth. I feel lucky to have found a place where students, faculty, staff, and families are all invested in the school's mission and believe in the core values.

I love teaching and working in schools because I'm most excited to be challenged, solve problems, and figure out who I am in those spaces. Whether I'm helping a player find a passion for a new sport, guiding a student through a difficult text so they can better understand themselves or others, or finding purpose through my relationships with colleagues, teaching is where I both find and create meaning.

B.A in Audio Production, Art Institute of Washington
St. Anne's-Belfield Early Childhood Fellow

Why St. Anne's-Belfield?
I was working as a live sound engineer and then COVID hit. Nearly everything closed, but I still needed to work. I had known about St. Anne's for about 4 years before applying, I have close family friends who also work here.

After completing my undergrad degree, I honestly did have an interest in education but I wanted to use what I had learned in college. The pandemic gave me the push I needed to transition into this field at this wonderful school!

Working in early childhood education, I appreciate the honesty of the students, and how thoughtful they are. It's also the only job I've ever had where the people I'm working for tell me that they love me, and on top of that, I know they mean it.

Pre-School 3 & 4 Teacher

Why St. Anne's-Belfield
St. Anne’s is a deeply professional and supportive place to teach, learn, and grow. The outdoor Pre-School program allows both teachers and students to explore science, reading language arts, mathematics, social studies, dramatic play, and art in a natural setting—all while building resilience and strengthening social and emotional skills.

The most rewarding part of being a Pre-school teacher at St. Anne’s is the strong and trusting relationships with our students and their families. Our students are developing their core values; in our outdoor classrooms we learn about our role in the community, what respectful communication looks like and sounds like, and the impact we have on the greater world, both social and environmental. Clear and frequent communication, weekly updates, and parent support and education help us stay connected to our student’s families, resulting in relationships that last well beyond the Pre-School years.

Why St. Anne's-Belfield?
St. Anne’s-Belfield has been a supportive, caring community for me for over 20 years. I have had the amazing opportunity to work with a number of incredibly creative and thoughtful colleagues and parents. Supporting our students in the classroom, on the court or on the field has filled my soul with purpose and gratitude.

I love seeing our students as they show their many personality characteristics in the classroom or on the field. The ability to know the whole child is a truly special experience.

Why St. Anne's-Belfield?
Where to begin? Simply put, I do not think you will find a more supportive, nurturing, and compassionate community for your child to grow, learn, take risks, challenge themselves, thrive, and be kids. This community is what it is because of the teachers and staff who have chosen to dedicate their lives to the wellbeing and future of our students.

It is an honor to serve in a role that allows me to connect a community that I love and cherish with families looking to find a spectacular and welcoming educational home for their young children and family. I have also been at St. Anne's-Belfield School for so long that I am now admitting the children of former students that I taught, coached, or advised. It does not get any more thrilling than that!
