Why St. Anne's-Belfield?
I love the middle of the school year when students know each other and can explore new subjects together, and my favorite School tradition is Chapel because it provides an opportunity for our school community to come together and focus on a weekly theme so that we can all grow together.

Why St. Anne's-Belfield?
The resounding sense of belief at St. Anne’s-Belfield that this is a place of possibility; that our School is a place where students can identify their passions, where they will be challenged, make mistakes, and be supported every step of the way. Individually and collectively, this community articulates a desire to help students pursue their own originality. Serving as an ambassador for a place that lives these values is an opportunity I’m thankful for every day.

The best part of my work is being a fan. I get to celebrate and support the efforts of students and colleagues every day. More specifically, I find joy in sharing stories about the ways that our students, faculty, and staff invest their time and energy — our community members do such incredible and fascinating work!

Why St. Anne's-Belfield?
I'm excited to start my teaching career at a school that values growth and welcomes change in order to be the best school it can be. I have a lot to learn, and St. Anne's is the place I want to learn it!

I also want to start my teaching career at a school that focuses on growth and development for students, faculty, and the institution itself. St. Anne's is a lovely community of people who are genuinely eager to learn, grow, and share their gifts.

Why St. Anne's-Belfield?
I love seeing students with their Chapel Buddies, the bonds formed across age groups are a beautiful thing to witness. I enjoy growing with my colleagues through a process called Lesson Study, a collaborative, inquiry-based cycle for teachers that encourages teachers to research best practices, observe student learning, and reflect on teaching practices.

Director of Athletics

Why St. Anne's-Belfield?
The close-knit community of St. Anne's stood out from the moment I stepped on campus. My family and I are excited to be a part of this tremendous school and to work with students, families, and coaches to help ALL athletic programs shine both on our campus and throughout the Charlottesville community.

My job provides me the opportunity to be a part of a community that teaches through athletics every afternoon. Fields, gyms, pools, and courts are incredible classrooms for our student-athletes and coaches. I know how many life lessons are learned in these spaces and have I have always been thankful for the experiences that are shared in these spaces.

I have been connected to athletics my entire life and have found myself in two worlds. For many years I was a Division I College Women's Basketball Coach. I spent time at Purdue, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, and the University of Denver. I was lucky to have been a part of winning a National Championship in 1999 as an assistant coach at Purdue University. I have also spent 11 years as a director of athletics at two wonderful independent schools in Cleveland, Ohio, and Wilmington, Delaware. It is through all of these experiences that I appreciate the time that I spend each day with both coaches and student-athletes helping them share in the same joy of athletics that I have for the past 30 years.
