The St. Anne's-Belfield School uniform dress code deepens our sense of community while allowing students the freedom to focus on their passions and pursuits.

Grades 9 – 12 Uniform Dress Code Requirements

  • All clothing worn at School must be part of the School color palette: maroon, white, black, gray or tan.

  • Students must wear a collared shirt Monday – Thursday. The only exception is that students are allowed to wear tops that are part of their school team or activity on game or performance days.

  • Students may wear sweatshirts, fleeces, and sweaters in solid colors from the color palette or those with “St. Anne’s-Belfield” or “Saints” in writing. Leggings and sweatpants are permitted on non-chapel days.

  • Shoes should be safe and secure for any work that a student may do during the school day, including work in a laboratory or outdoors. 

Chapel Dress on Fridays

  • All clothes are to be clean and in good repair.

  • Students may choose to dress according to the Monday-Thursday dress code or:

    • Dress shirts, dresses, skirts, or dress slacks that are appropriate for a business-type event.

  • Sweatpants and leggings, as pants, are not permitted on Fridays.

Blue Denim Days

  • In Upper School, Blue Denim Days are every Thursday, unless otherwise announced.

  • Jeans should be in good repair.

  • Collared shirts are required.

Ways to Purchase Uniforms

Lands' End custom website for St. Anne's-Belfield School provides an interface to browse and purchase clothing items that have been approved by the School.

  • It is available all year, so families may purchase items as children grow and as the seasons change.

Shop Lands' End

The Parents' Association (PA) operates Saints’ Closet, a gently-used uniform sale in late summer and throughout the school year. Many items will be priced at more than 50% off retail.

  • The first Saints' Closet will be Aug. 13 – 15 at the Conway Convocation Center (CCC) on the Belfield Campus (see map).
    • Saturday, Aug. 13 (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.)

    • Sunday, Aug. 14 (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

    • Monday, Aug. 15 (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)

  • Donations and consignments are being accepted in the gray bin in divisional offices through July 31. Washed items are appreciated! Please include this form with drop offs. 
    • Items donated (not consigned) return 100% of proceeds to the Parents’ Association to support its programming and initiatives.
    • The PA will pay out at 30% of the sale price upfront for all “very good condition” consignment designated items. One check will be issued for each consignment family in February for the previous year's consigned items.
    • Items deemed unsellable can be reclaimed or will be donated outside of Albemarle County.
