Sarah Yuille Clarke '65

Sarah Yuille Clarke '65 died peacefully at age 72 at Piedmont Hospital Friday, Aug. 30, 2019 after a battle with congestive heart failure. She graduated from St. Anne’s-Belfield School in 1965 and from Hollins College (now University) with a BA in English in 1969. After college, Sarah moved to Atlanta where she worked for Merrill Lynch and met and married William Walton Clarke in 1970. She is survived by her devoted husband, her daughters, and three grandsons.

Victoria George Myers '56

Victoria George Myers '56 died at age 80 on May 27, 2019 at her home in Santa Barbara, Ca. from complications of pneumonia. Victoria, known to her friends as Vicki, was born and grew up in Norfolk, Va., the daughter of J. Frank George Jr. and Suzanne Lewis George, sister to J. Frank George III. She graduated from St. Anne's School in 1956 before enrolling at Wellesley College. In her junior year, she married Barton Myers III. They then moved to England while he was stationed in the Air Force, where Vicki attended the Royal College of Music in London. Upon returning to the United States, she completed her music degree at the University of Pennsylvania. Working in partnership with her husband, Vicki served as the CFO of Barton Myers Associates, first in Toronto, then Los Angeles, and finally Santa Barbara. She pursued her love of music and gardening over the course of her entire life. Vicki is survived by her husband, her daughter, and her grandchildren.

Kay Walker Butterfield

Kay Walker Butterfield passed away at age 79 on Sept. 26, 2019 surrounded by family. A lifelong educator, Kay had a 57-year career at St. Anne's-Belfield where she served in many roles, including teacher, archivist, historian, and author. She penned the School's history in Teach Them Diligently, a celebration of its centennial. Prior to joining the School community, Kay graduated from both the Maderia School and Wellesley College. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, her sons and their wives, and three grandchildren.

She will be sorely missed by our entire community.
