The 2019 - 2020 school year began on Aug. 22 with almost 900 students enrolled across all four divisions. Of the 892 students on campus, 166 are new to the School and 83 have parents who are School alumni. Our student body includes families identifying as 14 nationalities, including American, British (United Kingdom), Canadian, Chinese, Congolese, Georgian, Indian, Irish, Kenyan, South Korean, Spain, Taiwanese, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
This year 86 Upper School students will experience life on dorm, joining us from six countries. Canada, China, Kenya, the United States, and Vietnam are all represented in the Residential Life program, including one American student who is joining the School community from Peru.
On Friday, Aug. 30, the community will come together for Convocation, the formal opening of the 110th session of the School. The event will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
Photos from today’s back to school excitement are available on the School’s SmugMug account with galleries highlighting the Upper School, Learning Village Grades 5 – 8, Learning Village Grades K – 4, and the Pre-School Building.
