Holden '19 Collecting Hygiene Packs for The Haven

Piper Holden '19 is seeking donations to make hygiene packs for The Haven, a multi-resource day shelter for those experiencing homelessness within the greater Charlottesville community.

Donations will be accepted Monday - Friday from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. outside of the Learning Village main entrance (799 Faulconer Dr by the flag pole) through Monday, May 18. This is a no-contact donation site; donors can simply drop their items into the designated bins. There is one bin for completed kits and one bin for individual items that form the packs (listed below). A second drop-off site is located at 2050 Redhill Rd. All donations will be cleaned and disinfected before being delivered to The Haven.

"I believe this opportunity to help The Haven and the homeless community who are disproportionately suffering in these trying times further encourages the School community to engage in our core value of impact," noted Holden.

  • Two rolls of toilet paper
