Information About Lessons & Carols 2013
Posted 12/13/2013 10:00AM
On Friday, December 20, St. Anne's-Belfield School will hold its annual Lessons & Carols service in the Conway Convocation Center (Belfield Campus, 799 Faulconer Drive) at 10:00 a.m. This event, based on the traditional Kings College, Cambridge service, features holiday lessons read by our students and carols performed by our choirs and orchestras.

On this day, students in grades 1-4 will have an abbreviated class schedule beginning at 9:00 a.m. Morning Care for students in grades 1-4 will be offered starting at 8:00 a.m. Students in the Two's program, Pre-School, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten, as well as grades 5-12, do not have classes on this day.

All Upper School girls participating in Madame Day activities should be dropped off at the Upper School campus no later than 7:55 a.m. (transportation will be provided for these students to the Learning Village for Lessons & Carols).

All other students in grades 5-12 should come directly to the Conway Convocation Center on the morning of the December 20 for the 10:00 a.m. service.

Please take note of the following important information regarding this event:

DRESS CODE
Dress code for students in grades 1-4 is regular uniform/Chapel dress (4th grade boys should wear ties.) Grades 5-12 should wear normal Chapel dress.

DISMISSAL
Following the conclusion of the Lessons & Carols service at 11:15 a.m., students in grades 9-12 and their parents will dismiss first. Those Upper School parents with a student in grades 1-8 should remain seated until Upper School families have dismissed. Students in grades 5-8 will dismiss from their normal drop-off/pick-up location. Students in grades 1-4 will dismiss from the front entrance of the Learning Village. In grades 1-8, older siblings will dismiss from their younger siblings pick-up location.

PARKING
As we expect a large turnout for this event, please assist us by parking only in designated areas. Attendees will be permitted to park on the right-hand side of the main loop on the Belfield Campus from the main entrance to the campus to the top of the hill by the Pre-School. Please do not park on the road from the Pre-School Building to the Middle School pick-up/drop-off area, as this will impede dismissal traffic after the event. Upper School students driving to the Learning Village from the Greenway Rise Campus should park at the soccer field.

Vans will circulate around the Belfield Campus to shuttle attendees from their parked cars to the Conway Convocation Center. Shuttles will be available prior to Lessons & Carols only.

AFTER CARE (ASEP)
ASEP will not be offered on Friday, December 20.
