Strength & Conditioning

The St. Anne’s-Belfield School Athletic Development Program is designed to develop and improve athleticism in every student regardless of level and/or involvement in organized sport.

The overall goal of our program is to teach our athletes how to move well, while building a strong foundation to help prevent injury and improve overall athletic performance. 






Chad Powlovich, Director of Athletic Development, cpowlovich@stab.org

Chad Powlovich is the director of Athletic Development. He holds a master’s in education and an bachelor's in exercise science from the University of Vermont, where he was also a four-year member of the basketball team.

Prior to relocating to Charlottesville, the former Gatorade Player of the Year served as director of Sports Performance at Poulin Performance where he trained many of the area’s best high school, college, and professional level athletes in all sports. Chad also spent time as the strength and conditioning coach for the St. Michael’s Womens' Basketball and Mens' Soccer teams, the Nordic and Far Post soccer clubs, the Lone Wolf basketball organization, and the Colchester Cannons baseball team.

He holds certificates in:

  • Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS through the National Strength and Conditioning Association)
  • Performance Enhancement Specialist (through the National Academy of Sports Medicine)
  • CPR and AED trained
