The Learning Village will be hosting its inaugural FamilyFest, a spring schedule of activities for families with children in Pre-School through Grade 4 to come together to create, learn, and play.
"These events are designed to give families the opportunity to unplug from today's distractions and connect through interactive and fun activities," said Director of Admissions (PS & K) and Assistant Head of the Learning Village for Student Life (PS – Grade 4) Stacey Gearhart. "All events are free and include dinner, and we encourage families to bring a friend or two."
This spring's FamilyFest line-up includes:
Jan. 28 – Lego Night
Pre-School through Grade 2 students and parents/guardians are invited to build, create, and explore on International Lego Day. Put your thinking caps on and start building!
Feb. 7 - Makerspace Night
Time to start making! Grades K - 4 students and parents/guardians will create tech projects with Ms. Wilkens, Ms. FitzHenry, and Ms. Mathieson.
March 14 - Math Game Night
What's better than math and pie?! Ms. Malin will host Grades K - 4 students and parents/guardians in celebration of Pi Day (3.14) with fun math games, pizza dinner, and of course, pie!
April 23 - Family Book Night
Throw on a pair of pajamas and curl up with a new read or old favorite book in honor of World Book Day with Ms. FitzHenry. Pre-School through Grade 4 students and parents/guardians are invited.
Each activity will take place from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Learning Village. Parents must be present with children throughout all events, and all materials and dinner will be provided. Families are encouraged to bring a friend or two, and registration is required.
