Class of 2015 Update: Audrey Schreck

Audrey Schreck '15 will graduate from the University of Denver on June 15 with a degree in biological sciences and a minor in psychology and business administration. During her time at the university, Schreck played on the Division I Women's Lacrosse team, was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and worked as a Young Life leader to empower the city's youth.

"By far my favorite part of college has been playing lacrosse as a Pioneer," said Schreck. "University of Denver is a great academic school, but athletics are at the heart of the school. I have loved cheering on all the other teams as they compete for national championships. I have created lifelong friendships with my teammates. We have accomplished so much over my four years here, creating the most amazing memories. I couldn't have asked for a better college experience. Denver is an incredible city, I've loved exploring Colorado as it has so much to offer."

For Schreck, her years at St. Anne's-Belfield School were instrumental in her collegiate success. Problem solving, creative thinking, writing, and analytical tasks were all areas where she felt her high school education had prepared her well.

"My advice to this year's seniors is to try everything," Schreck recommended. "College is a time to really broaden your horizons and experience all you can. Take any class that interests you, go to those club meetings, try an intramural or club sport. You never know who you'll meet, what you'll learn, or where it'll take you. Break out of your shell and see what college has to offer!"

Following graduation, Schreck will returned home to Charlottesville to work as a medical scribe in the University of Virginia (U.Va.) Health System. Future plans include attending medical school, hopefully at U.Va. or University of Colorado.
