Our Varsity swim & dive team had an amazing weekend at the VISAA State Championships!

St. Anne’s-Belfield has built a well-established reputation for athletics in Central Virginia...However, what may fly under the radar is the distinct prominence of the school’s squash program. It holds a unique presence in the Charlottesville area, and continues to grow in numbers and strength.
By Chris Gionta, The Daily Progress. Chance M. was a big-play threat for the Saints, averaging 29 yards per catch, and gathered 639 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. His excellent play at the position earned him VISAA Division II first-team all-state honors.
By Greg Madia, The Daily Progress. “Where she’s grown the most is her leadership and her commanding presence,” Virginia coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton said Wednesday of Johnson, the former St. Anne’s-Belfield star whose 11.5 points per contest make her UVa’s second-leading scorer heading into Sunday’s home clash with Duke. Johnson paces the Cavaliers in assists and steals, too.
Tricia Alexander ’90 was recently named the country’s 2022-23 top head girls lacrosse coach. This prestigious award is a strong reflection of Tricia’s dedication to the sport, her players, and coaching staff.
The University of Virginia Rowing team has had an impressive program for quite some time. This fall was no exception with current first year, Ava Schetlick ’23, being a part of many of their successes.

The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame’s inductees for its Class of 2024 includes Cavalier All-American and former NFL player Chris Long, who graduated from St. Anne's-Belfield School in 2004. The inductees, as selected by the Hall of Fame’s Board of Directors and Honors Court Committee, features athletes, coaches and contributors that have connections throughout the Commonwealth.
St. Anne's-Belfield Athletics recently partnered with Boar's Head Resort to further build our Squash program.
These thirteen athletes ranging from lacrosse to basketball to cross country have declared or signed their letters of intent to continue their athletic success in college.
On a hot day in July, John Grisham, P. '01 & '04 hosted a baseball alumni reunion on Swanson Field where dozens of players came from all over to reminisce, celebrate their successes and bond with former teammates.
By Marty Hudtloff, NBC29 — St. Anne’s Belfield wide receiver and defensive back Chance M. '23 is the Falcon Club Player of the Week. The junior scored four touchdowns in STAB’s 47-22 win Friday over previously undefeated Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy.
St. Anne’s-Belfield senior Hudson T. '23 is the Falcon Club Player of the Week. Toll plays both sides of the ball for the Saints. The inside linebackers made a team-high 13 tackles in STAB’s 35-win last week over Fork Union. He also had a forced fumble, as well as a pass breakup.
