Kate Borgeson, Director of Lower School Admission Age 2 – Grade 4

Kate Borgeson fell in love with the energy she felt from the students and the teachers the first time she visited St. Anne’s-Belfield. “Every independent school has its own distinct personality,” she says. “Here, there’s so much care and compassion vibrating in the classrooms in the hallways. The students are engaged, and everyone is so kind.” Mrs. Borgeson is excited to introduce that vibrancy and energy to prospective families and students.

From the School’s location in Charlottesville to the academic program, Mrs. Borgeson says St. Anne’s has a lot to offer students, especially Residential Life students. “Boarding students can genuinely connect on a deeper level with advisors and teachers, and with day students too. It’s a special experience to go to school surrounded by people who are invested in your success and want to support your learning.”

Kate Borgeson joins St. Anne’s from The Wyndcroft School in Pottstown, PA, where she served as director of enrollment management. Previous roles include serving at The Hill School and on the community relations team for the Buffalo Bills. She has experienced independent schools through many different lenses, having been a senior administrator, advisor, dorm parent, JV lacrosse coach, Life Skills teacher, and coordinator of programs such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Student Philanthropy Council, and Equestrian. She lives at Woodberry Forest School where her husband, Bowen, is on the faculty, along with their three children. Mrs. Borgeson is a graduate of the Buffalo Seminary and has a degree in Fine Arts from St. Lawrence University.

Mrs. Borgeson is thrilled to work with Pre-School and Lower School families and help them find the right fit for their whole family.
