Dear St. Anne's-Belfield School Community:
I write today to inform you that I have appointed Rich Mazzola as the Interim Director of Athletics and Mark Gearhart as the Interim Middle School Director of Athletics following Doug Tarring's recent decision to take on a new role at the School come this fall. Prior to coming to St. Anne's-Belfield School, Rich served as the Athletic Director at the Thacher School in California for more than a decade. He is very familiar with the responsibilities that come with overseeing an interscholastic athletic program, and as our Middle School AD this past year, he already has an understanding of our program and a close working relationship with Kaye Henyon. Mark has been involved with the athletic program in several capacities for many years and he, too, is already familiar with the administration of the Middle School program. With Rich and Mark in these roles, we are promised a smooth transition into the 2012-2013 school year. Both know that they assume these roles on an interim basis and that I plan to conduct a search in the fall.
