Welcome Alumni

The St. Anne's-Belfield School Alumni Association is made up of over 3,000 alumni/ae across the country and around the world. Its membership is comprised of all Belfield School, St. Anne’s School and St. Anne's-Belfield School graduates and any non-graduates who completed at least four consecutive years beginning no earlier than grade 5.

At St. Anne’s-Belfield School, we value friendships made over the years, and we welcome you back to visit whenever you can. Come see what’s new, visit with your favorite teachers, cheer on the Saints at a home game, support the annual Christmas Tree Sale, and reminisce about your days here. If you can't make it to Charlottesville, join us at any of the alumni gatherings held throughout the year in various locations.

Our goal in the Alumni Affairs office is to assist you in staying connected with each other and the school, as well as providing you with a variety of opportunities to give back to your alma mater. St. Anne’s-Belfield School has been blessed with a committed base of alumni, friends, and parents. These people have given generously of their time and resources and have enabled the school to grow and prosper over the years.

A Letter from the Alumni Council President

Dear St. Anne’s-Belfield Alumni,

As a member of the Class of 1984, I feel a strong sense of pride in my alma mater. Boasting over a century’s worth of graduates, St. Anne’s-Belfield School has touched countless lives in the Charlottesville area and worldwide.

One of the best parts of being on the Alumni Council is talking with fellow alumni about what they are doing now, and, of course, reliving the great experiences we had while at school. Though your time since graduation has been busy with careers, families, and the like, one of the questions I get most often is “How can I get involved?”

I ask all alumni to consider these easy steps:

• Update your contact information with the Alumni Office. Click here to do so online.
• Share events in your life through a Class Notes entry in the Alumni News & Notes e-newsletter and the quarterly publication, Perspectives. Click here to submit a note.
• Become a class correspondent, a liaison between the alumni office and your former classmates.
• Most importantly, I urge all of you to take part in alumni events. The people – faculty members and classmates alike – are what make St. Anne’s-Belfield School a leading institution. Don’t miss the opportunity to reconnect with those you may have not seen since graduation.

Teach Them Diligently

Published in 2010 during the school's Centennial year, Teach Them Diligently traces the history of St. Anne's-Belfield School through the people that have populated its classrooms and hallways for a hundred years. A hardcover book of 320 pages and 400 photos, it was written by Kay Walker Butterfield, currently the school's archivist and historian.
