Topic: Best and Worst of Friends -- Managing Social Issues

Speaker: Josh Cordonnier

Mr. Cordonnier is a clinical therapist with Charlottesville Psychological Associates. For more than 10 years, he has helped children ages 6+ work through challenges presented in the school setting, including bullying, friendships, and social skills. Much of his work is done with middle school aged boys.

How to Handle Sibling Rivalry

Topic: How to Handle Sibling Rivalry

Speaker: Dr. Edith "Winx" Lawrence

Dr. Lawrence has been a UVA Professor with the Curry School of Education since 1982. Previously, Dr. Lawrence served as school psychologist for Charlottesville City Schools. She has done extensive work in the area of Family Therapy and presented a program to Charlottesville Child and Family Services on "How to Handle Sibling Rivalry Effectively." Dr. Lawrence will be making a similar presentation at STAB.
