Annual GivingMake a gift every year, make a difference every day!
A St. Anne's-Belfield School education offers our students extraordinary opportunities, with each day bringing new and exciting challenges. The School's operating budget is only partially covered by tuition, so every year the School relies on the vital support of the Annual Fund to sustain and support its mission and people. Each and every gift has a direct impact on our students and faculty and supports the diverse programs we offer.
We ask all members of the school community to make a gift - parents, alumni, grandparents, alumni parents, trustees, faculty and staff, and friends of the school. Over the years, many people - from within and beyond the campus - have invested in our community. The Annual Fund, an initiative repeated every year, depends upon hundreds of volunteers like you for its amazing success.
As our school community embarks on another year of innovative classroom experiences, athletic challenges, musical performances, and community service, please support us with a gift to the Annual Fund. Your gift will have an immediate effect on the school! Make an online gift now.
A Message from Head of School David S. Lourie
An Upper School teacher recently asked me to proofread her college recommendation letter for one of our seniors. Her words about this student embodied what St. Anne’s-Belfield School is all about, as she explained the rigor of her class, detailed the hands-on learning opportunities it provided, emphasized the importance of scholarly discourse among her and the students, and trumpeted their engagement and achievement. Most notable, however, was how personal this letter was and how this teacher was able to describe the person and not just the student. The letter showed a teacher who has taken the time to know her students well and who could speak to this young man’s character and personality, using specific memorable examples of their interactions. The letter was heartfelt and personal, and it will certainly bring his application to life in front of any college admission committee.
Cultivating this all-important aspect of St. Anne’s-Belfield School – the close relationships that are created and endure between our students and their teachers – is why we ask you to support the Annual Fund. Providing necessary financial resources to support these formative relationships is the purpose of annual giving and is why we need everyone’s involvement and support. Your gift to the Annual Fund will speak to our entire community’s commitment to supporting our teachers in their ongoing efforts to know their students well. We do this through the Annual Fund, whose proceeds support competitive salaries and benefits, equip our classrooms with the latest resources, provide funds for professional development, and support extracurricular activities and clubs that deepen the bond between teacher and student.
I ask you to honor these special teacher-student relationships with a gift to the Annual Fund. Your support, and the support of parents, alumni, and friends like you, will ensure our School remains strong and that our commitment to great teaching endures. The resources it will provide, above and beyond tuition revenue, truly makes the difference between good and great – and I know that we are all reaching for great.
Our goals this year for the Annual Fund, and the School itself, remain ambitious. We want our students to aim higher and higher, and to stretch farther than they thought possible. The School and its supporters, therefore, must do the same, and that is why I ask for your generous participation. In recent years, we have hit record levels of participation and exceeded our annual goals, and we can – and should – break records again. Thank you for all that you do already to support the School. I am grateful for your consideration.
