The St. Anne's-Belfield music department prides
itself on offering courses that welcome and serve our student musicians’
wide range of interests and abilities.
Performance classes offer opportunities
to sing and play, theory courses offer academic study for performers and
budding composers, while recording technology provides not only an
outlet for performers to record, but for any student to experience first
hand the rapidly changing technology and production skills of the
recording industry. Students are recording artists, engineering
sessions, and producing cds and podcasts!
The music faculty is made up of experienced educators who are all
also active, professional musicians in the local community. Our wide
range of personalities, teaching styles and expertise, as well as our
visiting artist program, ensure programs that are unique, exciting and
innovative. With hundreds of students each year choosing to be involved
in concert, jazz, acapella and handbell choirs, six levels of orchestra,
music theory, the recording studio and private lessons, we see our
music students at the head of their academic classes, taking leadership
roles in the school and being courted by the finest institutions of
higher education.
The St. Anne's-Belfield music department invites you and your child
to explore and experience our programs. Please call, write, or attend a
concert! We look forward to visiting with you about your young
musician’s interests, education and future!
