STAB Hosting Nov. 11 Charlottesville

 Girls on the Run 5K

Charlottesville, Va., Nov. 3, 2017 – St. Anne's-Belfield School will host the fifth Charlottesville Girls on the Run Celebration 5K on Saturday, Nov. 11. Almost 350 girls, parents, friends, and volunteer running buddies from 11 area schools are expected to come together to celebrate a successful fall season.

 

Begun in 1996 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Girls on the Run is now a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization with councils in all 50 states. The 5K training curriculum includes life lessons to inspire independent thinking, creative problem-solving, and overall wellness. More than 350 end-of-season celebrations are routinely held across the country, making the Girls on the Run 5K series the largest in the United States.


LOCATION: St. Anne's-Belfield School Football Field, 799 Faulconer Drive

TIME: 1:00 p.m. run start, 12:45 p.m. road closure

St. Anne's-Belfield School is a co-educational preschool through grade 12 day school of more than 940 students and 150 faculty and staff, with a boarding program in grades nine through twelve.
