April 1 Darol Anger Concert at STAB


Charlottesville, Va., March 21, 2017 – St. Anne's-Belfield School will host an evening of fun and fiddlin' with "meta-grass" superstar Darol Anger on Saturday, April 1 at 8:00 p.m at the Greenway Rise Auditorium, 2132 Ivy Road.  Tickets are on sale now for $20.


Anger's visit is part of the School's Visiting Artists program, and he will be joined on stage by guitarist Avril Smith and local drummer Chris Dammann.


Anger is renowned for helping to drive the evolution of the contemporary string band, and has performed all over the world with musicians including Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer, and the Detroit Symphony. His music can also be heard on NPR's 'Car Talk' theme, along with Earl Scruggs, David Grisman, and Tony Rice, and the popular Sim City computer games.
