STAB Grades K - 4 Fundraising for Food Allergy Research Feb. 10

Charlottesville, Va., Feb. 07, 2017 – St. Anne's-Belfield School's annual Kids for Kids fundraiser is supporting food allergy research at U.Va. Children's Hospital. Students in grades Kindergarten through four have been raising pledges, and will celebrate the fundraising drive on Friday, Feb. 10 with a celebration of jumping rope, dancing, and shooting hoops. 


"We are excited to support this local organization in its efforts to provide a cure for food allergy illnesses," said Brooke Canova, physical education department head for grades Kindergarten through six and Kids for Kids coordinator. 


Dr. Alice Hoyt, a pediatric fellow conducting allergy research at U.Va., will speak at the Feb. 10 event to help students learn even more about food allergies.


In the past, the Kids for Kids fundraiser has supported the American Heart Association, Camp Holiday Trails, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
