Overview

The Arts curriculum at St. Anne’s-Belfield School offers a broad range of courses that support our belief that creative accomplishment and imaginative thinking are crucial to a complete education.

By actively performing and producing works of art, our students learn to express themselves with precision and insight, to balance creativity and craftsmanship, and to make connections between their own artistic ideas and those past and present. Every student has the opportunity to explore interests through introductory courses where we encourage individual experimentation and risk-taking while also providing a rigorous foundation in skills.

Our advancing level arts electives, select performing ensembles, and AP art courses allow students to undertake intensive study, provide individualized opportunities for expression, and prepare interested students to enter a competitive degree program in the arts at the college or conservatory level.

"As a department, we are dedicated to nurturing the artistic growth of each individual and to creating a vibrant, open, and expressive school community."
