Meet Our Staff

Jean Craig

Jean Craig works with families of students in grades five through twelve focusing primarily on boarding candidates. Jean began her career at St. Anne's-Belfield in the late seventies teaching English and European history to the Middle and Upper School students. Her three sons are graduates of the school. A Charlottesville native and University of Virginia graduate, Jean is an alumna of St. Margaret's School and did her undergraduate work at Tufts University in Boston.

Vito "Bo" Perriello

Vito "Bo" Perriello, 1989 graduate of St. Anne's-Belfield, joined the admission team after serving as our Director of Alumni Affairs for two years. He also serves as our Associate Head Coach for boys' varsity lacrosse. Bo received his B.A. in political science with a minor in environmental studies from the University of Notre Dame and his M.A. in educational leadership from Columbia University. After teaching and coaching for two years at St. John's Preparatory School, Bo spent the next five years at Delbarton School in Morristown, New Jersey, where he taught honors chemistry and environmental science, sat on the admissions committee, and served as assistant varsity lacrosse coach. Bo has been a member of the Alumni Council since 1995. He and his wife, Maureen, have four children, of whom two are enrolled currently at the school.

Gib Staunton

Gib Staunton is the Director of Admission for pre-school through grade four. She has a B.S. in elementary education from the University of Virginia. She taught at Shady Hill School, Chestnut Hill School, and Nashoba Brooks School in the Boston area for ten years before returning to Charlottesville. She is also a proud parent of four children, one who is a graduate of the school, two who are enrolled currently, and one who teaches in our Lower School.

Stacey Gearhart

Stacey Gearhart is the Assistant Director of Admission for grades 5-12. She also serves as our Head Varsity Volleyball Coach having been involved with the program since the fall of 2005. Stacey, a 2003 graduate of Washington & Lee University, is a certified instructor for the American Red Cross and offers classes to all faculty and staff here at the school. Stacey's husband Mark also works here at St. Anne's-Belfield School and together they serve as dorm parents within our boarding department.
